2014 blogger challenge - Skin care

So for this week as part of the blogger challenge we have to talk about skin care. Lately I feel that my skin has improved and this is because of 2 things (i think). Firstly I have changed my diet so I eat a lot more home cooked healthier meals and less salty ready meals. I have also started drinking a lot more water, this has really helped because I feel more hydrated and a lot less tired. 

These are the products I have been using on my skin. The first image contains the Clearasil products I use, I highly recommend the one in the silver tube because it reduces the size of spots really quickly. 

The cleansing lotion I get is boots essential cucumber and it is so good, I can't use the expensive cleansing lotion as it brings me out in more spots and stings my eyes but this product doesn't actually bring me out in spots.

The moisturisers i don't use on my face because they are fragranced, I mainly use these on my arms and legs because they are so creamy and smell divine.

2014 blogger challenge - New Years Inspirations

So it 2014 already ! Its come around so quick. A few weeks ago I decided to take part in the 2014 blogger challenge which means I will be given a topic to blog about every 2 weeks so my posts will be more regular! 

So I decided to choose this quote from misfits, mainly because its one of my favorites but also because it helps me explain my point that you should live life to the full and do whatever you want to do ! Yes everyone screws up every so often but you cant make an omelet without breaking some eggs. Maybe don't be as outgoing as Nathan (since hes a fictional character) but if you have your mind set on something you should get on with it and go do it ! If you don't want to go to uni don't let someone force you into it , alternatively do not let anyone hold you back. What i'm trying to say is do what makes you happy this year, make 2014 new , different , maybe even slightly scary (in a good way) by doing something different that your 2013 self couldn't see you doing in a million years because in the words of Nathan we owe it to ourselves to party hard and you never know you may even get an amazing outcome!

2013 recap

So 2013 has been a mad year so I thought I would do a picture representation of what has happened (mainly being with friends, family and revising for exams!).Its been a great year and hopefully 2014 will be just as great.

Christmas fair

 

 

So last weekend I went to a local Christmas fair with some of my family on my dads side. We took Steph (my little cousin) to see Santa and the reindeers and it was a pretty fun day, it wasn't as good as previous years but still a good day out. Got to keep this post short and sweet as I have coursework to do so adios,

The 'Christmas Eve Box'

 Firstly you lucky people for getting 2 blog posts in 1 week!

 

So for Christmas this year Holly and I decided to do the Christmas eve box tradition , I saw this on Becky's aka milkbubbleteas blog (will link it at the bottom) and it just looked so cute and perfect. Basically its a box that you fill with items for Christmas eve so pjs, chocolate, bed socks etc. So I thought I would share some of the things I have got Holly, and if Holly is reading this you need to stop before you ruin your present haha!

 

So this is the box in its entirety , yes there is a lot of tartan but Holly and I have a joke going about tartan and she loves it so its fine.Some of the other things I couldn't resist picking up include the cute little milky bar polar bear and the huge hot chocolate mug that I actually wouldn't mind keeping myself especially to go with the marshmallows that I have hidden at the bottom. The Yankee scent Christmas eve was also perfect to go with the present since she will be getting it on Christmas eve !

Halloween party

So I haven't been uploading as much as I would like to since I have had so much coursework and uni applications and so on ,but hopefully soon it will be sorted and I can start uploading twice a week.

Anyway this week I thought I would do more of a picture post since I don't have much time and I find them pretty interesting myself .Last Saturday Em had her 18th birthday/Halloween party so yeah we all went in fancy dress( and yes I went as a cat aka the most stereotypical white girl outfit) and it was a great night singing, eating & dancing, so here are some of my favourite photos from the night.

October favourites

So I thought I would share just some of my favourites from last month, hope you enjoy...



Butternut squash soup is such a wintery flavor that is perfect for dinner after a cold day.



I have had a few different flavored pop tarts and bought the frosted strawberry sensation on a whim, since they are the most popular and I have got to say they are so nice, they taste like jam tarts with icing , well that is how I would describe them anyway aha. 

Very similar to the tangle teaser however the babyliss has a
handle so i just thought it would be better.

These are some nail varnishes i have been liking
ever since i bought them.

I love all the Marc Jacobs range , however Dot is probably my favourite this month.

The L'Oreal Elvive shampoo, conditioner and hair 

mask is possibly the best hair care I have ever

used and I would totally recommend it.

I have used my Polaroid quite a bit this month which
reminds me just how much i love it.

Since its getting darker outside I have got obsessed
with candles again, below is the Yankee
Halloween special candy corn which smells of
American sweets.

Lately I have started to wear my double Pandora bracelet that i got from the Caribbean about 3 years ago.

Bobble hats are so perfect this season.

Probably my most worn jumper - H&M £12.99

This dress from Dorothy Perkins is so perfect, quite
similar to the Topshop dress for a fraction of the price.

And to finish off ,my favourite film this year has to be Now You See Me, I will probably do a full review on a separate blog post because enjoyed it so much.
